Live, Laugh, Liberty Pt 5

June 22nd-Sea Day

Woke up early, but still tired (Did I mention that later on we figured out why I was so tired.....the Dr. put me on a decongestant, but called it a "drainage pill" I didn't realize what that meant.)

Mom and I had time for BK in the MDR today so we went and it wasn't crowded at all, had I known I didn't have to fight the buffet and still get pretty much the same food I would had woken up earlier more often, lol. We set with a mother and son and they were very nice company and we cont. to say hi to them on the ship for the rest of the week. Mom wanted to go to the seminars and I was suppose to write in my journal and check phone messages. After several attempts of trying not to run off the page I went back to sleep (drainage pill my butt). Mom came back and woke me up and hour 1/2 late and we decided to eat lunch, then go get our pictures. Mom signed us up for a drawing, so we had to stop by after getting some of our pictures (BTW, they had some good prices on the scrapbook pieces and pages and I bought some of those.) I went to the balcony level of the theatre and waited for mom to see if we won the drawing. I know what you are thinking, but I wasn't 'saving' a seat. I wasn't in prime real estate and if someone had wanted to sit next a complete stranger I guess they could have asked me. But it was just a two seater couch at the very top of the balcony in the corner, so I didn't think anything of it. We watched the Love Game and then went to Tea Time. We were a bit late b/c of the show, but they seated us and we got to talk to some new people, which was nice b/c we didn't have a group table for dinner. We then found a Fun Times and decided to go make a Mardi Gra Mask in the Cigar Lounge. Let's just say, though we got there early they didn't have enough supplies for everyone and it turned into a bit of a mad house after a while. Plus, elmer's glue does not really glue Plastic to Plastic very well. But we hurried and let the kids take over (though plenty of adults were there). We changed for dinner so we could go to the early show before dinner "Singin with the Big Band." The show was pretty good, a bit melodramatic in some parts, but good. Mom and I got Goombay Smashes before the show and needless to say I had to run up the buffet and grab some rolls to help not get so tipsy....whooooo. We also did the bingo before the show, no winnings, but it was fun to try.

Off to dinner where I had:
Penne with scaloops, calamari, shrimp (aptz. amt.)
Thai Chicken tenders
Lime Sherbert

I then embarrassed myself in Karaoke by singing without music, some Cass Elliot........Crickets anyone. Oh well, I did it for mom and no one else, so did it matter, no.

We went to the Mardi Gra Party and got some beads and watched them march around and did the dances, then I met up with my friend Nadine and went dancing for the night.
